Just a short one!

It’s the night before the big day. (It was the night before the big day, but I forgot to post! One month later..!)

I’m laying in bed evaluating my life. What have I achieved? What craziness have I experienced? What opportunities have I let pass me by? What beautiful memories have I made?

Wow. Where does time go, hey? One minute I’m in Primary School making daisy chains at the back of the school field, without a care in the world… Next, I’m arguing with a mini version of myself about why she can’t have chocolate for breakfast. Like who would have thought this, is where I would be in my life right now.

I’ve noticed some people find growing old hard and don’t like it, but i can honestly say I’m loving every moment! My grey hairs on my head are shining beautifully, my chin hair and tash are growing at the speed of light and my body has decided that I can’t tolerate dairy anymore. Bloody loving life! No honestly, I really am. I count my blessings daily, I have my own little family unit that I completely adore. We have brilliant memories and have so much to look forward to. We always look for the good in every situation and treat life as an adventure.

Life is what you make it. You are in control of your thoughts, your emotions and your happiness. If you’re feeling glum at turning thirty why not pick something that you really enjoy whether it be a hobby or a career and pursue it. I get that sometimes financially you can’t do what you want to do but Google’s free and there’s millions of free online courses you can take or books you can read to study whatever it is you enjoy. By doing that you are not only doing something for you, you’re opening up your path to so many opportunities and you really will be amazed at where it could take you!

Chin up peeps! 30 ain’t that bad 😉
